It is a very comfortable life being a resident at Nicholas Rothwell House, there are no restrictions other than those that are necessary. I start my day with breakfast in my room, followed by a lovely bath with the help of a care assistant.

Coffee and biscuits are brought to me at around 10.30am-11am, be it in my room or joining my friends in the conservatory which over looks the court yard. At 12.00pm I have lunch in the dining room, the food is all home made, very tasty and served beautifully.

My visitors are welcomed any time, I am fortunate I have relatives who live nearby and I often go out to the local town.

We have volunteers who provide activites such as quiz shows, boat trips and other games which are optional.

This is followed by coffee/tea and home made cakes.

I have supper at 6pm in the dining room and just before I go to bed a hot milky drink is brought to me.

The staff are all very friendly, helpful and very supportive, nothing is too much trouble.
